How SnipDock works

SnipDock is an online clipboard for the moments when a messenger truncates your text, when an AI answer is too long to retype, or when you just need to get a file from one device to another without installing anything.

01Paste or drop

Open SnipDock on the device that has the content. Paste long text, Markdown, JSON, SQL, logs or code — or switch to the File tab and drop a file up to 50 MB.

02Get a code, link and QR

Choose how long it should live (burn after read, 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days) and optionally add a 4-digit PIN. You get a 6-character pickup code, a short link and a QR code.

03Pick it up elsewhere

On the other device open snipdock.app, type the code (or scan the QR code), then copy everything in one click or download it as .md, .json or .txt.

Which entry point should I use?

Phone → computer: use the 6-character pickup code. Typing six characters on a keyboard is faster than scanning a screen.

Computer → phone: use the QR code. Scan it with your camera and the content opens immediately.

Limits and retention

  • Up to 100,000 characters per text transfer.
  • Up to 50 MB per file transfer.
  • Default retention is 24 hours; you can also pick 1 hour, 7 days or burn after read.
  • Pickup pages are excluded from search engines (noindex).
  • SnipDock is not end-to-end encrypted. Content is stored on our servers until it expires — see the privacy policy.
